300 participants attended the first LSZ Impact Conference on Translational Medicine at the Technopark Zurich. The event clearly focused on early stage projects in pharma, biotech and medtech. The pilot conference concentrated on the fields of cancer, immunology & infection and neurosciences.
This one-day multi-track meeting was organised by the Life Science Zurich Business Network, the Division of Business and Economic Development at the Office for Economy and Labour of the Canton of Zurich, the University of Zurich, the ETH Zurich and the BIO-TECHNOPARK Schlieren-Zurich.

Short pitches by researchers from ETH Zurich, the University of Zurich, the University Hospital and the University of Applied Sciences ZHAW as well as contributions from young startup companies highlighted early stage projects, The panel discussion focused on the vision of translational medicine in 2030.
The industry exhibit offered partners and sponsors the possibility to interact with the conference participants.
150 one-to-one meetings took place and facilitated interaction between academia, industry and investors. The conference was an excellent opportunity to find the right partners to accelerate the development of novel therapeutic strategies and innovative concepts of health prevention and treatment.
